📞 Call Pickup Guide

Learn how to use and disable the call pickup service.

The Call Pickup feature allows you to answer another ringing phone in your group or account — directly from your own handset. It’s perfect for shared spaces, teams, or front office setups.


🔁 Call Pickup Functions

Code Function
*88 Group Pickup – Answer the most recent incoming call in your group
*89 Directed Pickup – Prompts you to enter the extension or number to answer
*89X Direct Dial Pickup – Combine *89 with an extension or number to pick it up instantly (e.g. *89800 picks up extension 800)
 

💡 Group = all phones under the same account and group name in Cloud PBX.


🔒 How to Disable Call Pickup

By default, Call Pickup is enabled for all lines. You can disable this feature for individual numbers if you want to prevent:

  • Other users from picking up your incoming calls

  • This user from picking up other calls

To Disable:

  1. Log into https://portal.kiwivoip.co.nz

  2. Select the number you want to configure

  3. Go to Cloud PBX > Inbound Calls > Call Pickup

  4. Tick Disable the call pickup feature

  5. Click Save Settings
