🔁 Kiwi VoIP – Call Flow Priority Guide

Setting up call flows can sometimes be confusing — especially when you’re trying to understand which feature takes priority when multiple are active at once.

This guide breaks down the order of operations in the Kiwi VoIP call handling system, so you know exactly how your incoming calls will be treated.

📊 Call Flow Feature Priority (Highest to Lowest)

When a call is received, the system checks and applies features in the following order:

  1. Call Rejection
e.g. Block anonymous callers or numbers on your blacklist

  2. In-Call Message
Play a message to the caller before routing

  3. Priority Feature
Set VIP rules to override other flows

  4. Remote Dial Tone
Enables outbound calling from another device via your number

  5. Remote Callback
Automatically calls back and connects a pre-defined number

  6. Audio Conference Room
Routes calls directly to a conference room

  7. Auto-Attendant (IVR)
Menu systems like "Press 1 for Sales..."

  8. Agent Queuing
Sends calls to a queue of available agents

  9. Do Not Disturb (DND)
    Temporarily blocks all incoming calls

  10. Call Screening
Ask the caller to state their name or confirm before connecting

  11. Call Forward Always
Automatically forwards all calls to another number

  12. Hunt Groups
Routes calls through a predefined order of extensions or users

  13. Simultaneous Ring
Rings multiple devices or numbers at once

🧠 Pro Tip

If two or more features are active at the same time, the one higher on the list above will take precedence.

For example:
If Do Not Disturb and Call Forward Always are both enabled, Do Not Disturb will block the call before it ever gets forwarded.
