Kiwi VoIP Call Parking: How to Park and Retrieve Calls Easily
Call Parking lets you place a call on hold at one phone and pick it up from another — perfect for transferring calls between staff in different locations or moving from a noisy area to a quiet one.
🔧 What is Call Parking?
Call Parking works like a shared “on-hold” space for your calls. You can park a call from one phone and retrieve it from any other phone in the same group.

🛠️ How to Enable Call Parking

Log in to the Kiwi VoIP portal: https://portal.kiwivoip.co.nz

Go to Advanced > Call Parking

✅ Tick Enable Call Parking

Configure timeout and return-to-origin behavior as required
-
If call parking is enabled on one extension, it becomes available to all phones in the same group
📌 Use the Line Manager to check or update group assignments
📞 How to Park a Call
During an active call:

to park the call in the next available parking slot -
Or dial
*07xx
to park the call to a specific slot (e.g.,*0705
to park to slot 705)
You’ll hear a message confirming the parking slot number (e.g., "700").
The caller will hear Music on Hold until the call is retrieved.
⏱️ If No One Picks Up...

The call will return to the person who parked it

Or it can be forwarded to another number (based on your timeout setting)
📲 How to Retrieve a Parked Call
From any phone in the same account and group:

and follow the prompt to enter the parking slot manually

Receptionist answers a call and needs to transfer it to the warehouse
