💬 Not Receiving Texts from Your Bank or Services (Short Code / OTP Issues)
Just moved to Kiwi VoIP and not getting verification codes or messages from banks and services? Here's what's happening.
📨 What’s Going On?
After porting your number to Kiwi VoIP, you may experience delays receiving short code or premium SMS messages — such as:

One-time passwords (OTPs)

2FA codes from your bank

Verification messages from services like Google or Facebook
⏳ This happens because the sender (e.g. your bank) needs to update their routing systems to recognise that your number is now with a different mobile network. This process can take up to a few days.
📱 iPhone Users: Extra Info
If you're using an iPhone, this issue may also temporarily affect:

iMessage activation
-
FaceTime availability
These services rely on SMS verification that may be delayed during the transition.
🛠 What Can You Do?

Wait 24–72 hours after activating your SIM.
